We've all had the trainings.
We've all attended the workshops.
We've heard the conversations about diversity, equity, inclusion, culture, bias, and belonging.
But what happens when the talking stops and the presentation ends?
Where do we go to ask the questions we were afraid to ask?
Where do we meet people whose experiences are different from our own?
Where do we actually practice what we've learned?
That's where Common Ground begins.
The Common Ground Consortium is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit creating real-world opportunities for people to connect, learn, experience culture, share stories, and build relationships across differences.
We believe education is important—but education alone is not enough.
Common Ground is the Application.
Through Edutainment, Cross-Cultural Mentorship, Inclusive Technology, and Shared Spotlight Storytelling, we create engaging experiences where people can move beyond simply talking about inclusion and begin experiencing connection in real life.
Because different doesn't have to mean divided.
The goal isn't for everyone to think alike.
The goal is for us to think together.

How We Create Common Ground
We don't believe meaningful connection happens by accident.
We intentionally create opportunities for people to learn, engage, experience, question, share, and connect.

Where learning meets experience.
We use culture, creativity, entertainment, conversation, food, music, art, storytelling, and shared experiences to make learning engaging, memorable, and accessible.

CROSS-CULTURAL MENTORSHIP
Where relationships become bridges.
We create intentional opportunities for people from different cultures, generations, backgrounds, and lived experiences to connect, learn from one another, ask respectful questions, and build relationships.
Sometimes the greatest barrier between people isn't disagreement.
It's simply that they have never met.
INCLUSIVE TECHNOLOGY
Where innovation expands the table.
We explore how technology can increase access, connection, participation, opportunity, and exposure to perspectives beyond our immediate circles.
Technology should connect us—not replace human connection.
SHARED SPOTLIGHT STORYTELLING
Where every voice has a story worth hearing.
We create opportunities for people and communities whose voices may not traditionally receive the spotlight to share their experiences, perspectives, cultures, and stories.

Common Ground was born from what happens after the microphone is turned off—when people stay behind, ask questions, share stories, express curiosity, and say:
“I've never thought about it that way.”
“I've always wanted to ask that.”
“I want to learn more.”
Common Ground creates the space for that next conversation.
We take learning out of the training room and into real life.
Because information can introduce a new idea, and experience can change the way we see one another.

The Common Ground Consortium exists to bridge divides, strengthen human connection, and cultivate culturally competent communities by creating real-world opportunities for people to learn, connect, collaborate, and share across cultures, generations, and lived experiences.
Through Edutainment, Cross-Cultural Mentorship, Inclusive Technology, and Shared Spotlight Storytelling, we move beyond conversation and into application—creating experiences where curiosity is welcomed, perspectives are expanded, relationships are built, and people can discover what becomes possible when we find common ground.
